Ahead of this Kumbh Mela in Haridwar, the Uttarakhand government has issued many guidelines plus (SOPs) standard operating protocols for the upcoming big festival (Maha Kumbh Mela 2021). Earlier, the Central government had also issued guidelines & standard operating protocols (SOPs) for the same.

In the track of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, guidelines also standard operating protocols (SOPs) Ashram, Hotel, Dharamshala, Restaurant, Shop, Commercial Establishment, Guest House, Religious Place Public Transport, halting points, ghats, vehicle parking, bus stations, railway stations, have been issued.

According to the guidelines issued, each person who will be staying there in Haridwar will have to go into the thermal screening. Not only that, every traveler must register on the web portal of Maha Kumbh Mela 2021.

Uttarakhand government-issued Covid-19 guidelines for devotees visiting Haridwar’s Kumbh Mela. According to the statement of the Uttarakhand government, “devotees to be allowed at Kumbh Mela only after checking properly the COVID negative RT-PCR report, which should be announced not before than 72 hrs.”

Meanwhile, the authorities said that people above 65 yrs of age, the ailing, children below 10 years of age, pregnant women, advised not to come.

Earlier on Sunday, the state government had made it necessary for the attendees to get a medical certificate to be able to participate in the event.
